Bradenton, FL - Palm Beach (11-4, 43-42) dealt the Marauders (9-6, 41-44) their most lopsided loss of the year in a 10-0 rout at McKechnie Field on Thursday night. Nick Petree (W, 1-1) twirled seven scoreless innings and faced three over the minimum for Palm Beach.

A two-out rally in the top of the first set the tone for Palm Beach. Brett Wiley singled on an 0-2 pitch from RHP Luis Heredia (L, 2-4) with two away and the bases empty. The next pitch hit Collin Radack. Two pitches later Luke Voit launched a three-run home run to right field.

Petree retired the first 10 batters he faced and allowed just four singles and a walk.

NOTES: The game began at 6:32 p.m. under cloudy skies, 93 degrees, and wind blowing 11 mph from left to right ... The loss is the most lopsided margin of defeat for the Marauders this season; It was Bradenton's largest shutout loss since 07/13/13 at Tampa... Position player Michael Fransoso made his first career pitching appearance...Cardinals first baseman Luke Voit has hit .371 in 20 career games ag ainst the Marauders...

The Marauders lost a series for the first time since June 15-18 versus Tampa; That also represents the last time Bradenton lost three straight games ... The Marauders were swept for the first time since May 30-June 1 versus Jupiter ...
