Tampa Yankees News Release

Tampa, FL - Christmas has come early to Steinbrenner Field for the children at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital and for those who love the great outdoors. On Saturday, July 18th the Tampa Yankees will host their Christmas in July Toy Run in conjunction with Outdoors Night.

The Toy Run is sponsored by Full Throttle Magazine and Fran Haasch Law Group and will begin at Tampa Harley Davidson with registration starting at 1:00PM and the ride to drop off the toys at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital will begin at 4:00PM. The ride will continue to Steinbrenner Field after spending some time at the hospital. At the stadium, the bikers will ride onto the field as we salute America during the National Anthem for the 6:00PM game against the Charlotte Stone Crabs. Toy donations can be made at both Tampa Harley Davidson and Steinbrenner Field.

Along side the Toy Run, the Tampa Yankees will be hosting their second annual Outdoors Night sponsored by Fabricated Products of Tampa. During the game there will be raffles and auctions with various items including fishing poles from Tampa Fishing Outfitters, gift certificates to stores like Tampa Outfitters and Flint Creek Outfitters LLC, tackle boxes, beach yoga lessons, paddle board lessons, and much more. The proceeds from these raffles and auctions will benefit the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida (CCA). The CCA of Florida is a statewide, non-profit marine organization working in an advocacy role to protect the state's marine resources and interests of saltwater anglers.

Fans who arrive to the game wearing camouflage will receive a $2 general admission ticket to the game and those who arrive wearing a shirt representing the CCA will get in for free. The first 300 fans through the gates will receive a surprise Outdoors Night Giveaway.

In addition to the Toy Run and Outdoors Night, July 18th will also be a Friends and Family Saturday sponsored by Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. Fans can purchase a Family 4-Pack which includes four reserved tickets to the game, four hotdogs, four bags of chips, four sodas, four Tampa Yankees ball caps, and 2 passes to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo for just $38. Players will be signing autographs on the concourse from 5:10-5:30PM, and kids can run the bases after the game.

Tickets for this game, and future games, can be purchased at the George M. Steinbrenner Field Box Office or through TicketMaster. Ticket prices start at $4 for general admission, $6 for reserved seating and parking is always free.
