
Petes Victorious against Spits to Cap Alumni Homecoming Weekend

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes won their third game in as many nights, and fourth straight, to claim sole possession of first place in the Ontario Hockey League with an 8-2-0-0 record.
Each time the Spitfires scored, the Petes scored twice more. Nick Isaacson (5), who leads the league with a +13 plus/minus rating, scored the game winning goal and added an empty netter. Czech import player Erik =C8ermák netted his first OHL goal, while Chris Paquette (7) tallied his league-leading third shorthanded marker of the season.
Declan Chisholm registered two assists, marking this third consecutive multi-point game. Paquette, Pavel Gogolev, and Chad Denault recorded single assists.
Hunter Jones stopped 34 of 36 spots in his league-leading eighth win.
Specialty jerseys worn during Saturday's Alumni Homecoming game are now available for purchase via online auction in support of muscular dystrophy research. Bidding begins to close to 7:00pm ET on Monday, October 29.
The Petes will host the rival Oshawa Generals on Thursday, October 18 at 7:05pm. Tickets are available at the PMC Collins Barrow Box Office in-person, online, or over the phone at (705) 743-3561.
