Peterborough Petes News Release
Peterborough Petes General Manager David Reid trimmed his Training Camp roster by 16 players between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Heading home to join their respective Tier II Jr. A, Junior B and Major Midget clubs will be Zach Avolio, Scott Coghlin, Jake Flegel, Brandon Howes, Brian Hubers, Karson Neilly, Dan O'Keefe, Stephen Pierog, Joe Santi, C.J. Shugart, Mark Smith, Tyler Stone, William Sullivan, Joey Sullivan and Goaltenders Andy Munroe and Drew Siydock.
"We are very pleased with the pace of play and compete level of all players in training camp" says Petes General Manager David Reid. "We asked the players to compete hard and make our decisions tough and that is exactly what they did. At this time we felt another year of development was best for these young players."
OHL policy states that players born in 1994 must sign an OHL Contract, or be listed as one of the team's wildcards to stay in Training Camp past 48 hours.
