
Petes Snap Skid in Dramatic Fashion over North Bay

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes went the distance with the North Bay Battalion Saturday night, snapping a lengthy winless streak with a thrilling 4-3 shootout victory.
North Bay opened scoring before Nick Robertson and Nikita Korostelev registered goals in the first period. The Troops tied the game at 2 in the second frame. Brady Hinz restored Peterborough's lead in the third ahead of the Battalion tying the game at 3.
Semyon Der-Arguchintsev recorded two assists, while Korostelev, Matt Timms, Logan DeNoble, and Matt McNamara each added single helpers. Korostelev and Der-Arguchintsev scored in the shootout.
The Petes were 1/5 on the power play, and 2/3 on the penalty kill. Dylan Wells turned away 47 of 50 shots.
The Petes wrap up the weekend in Oshawa at 6:00pm on Sunday, February 11. They'll return to the PMC on Thursday, February 15 to host the Mississauga Steelheads at 7:05pm. Game tickets are available starting at $8 through the Collins Barrow PMC Box Office, online or by phone at (705) 743-3561.
