Petes Sign Nick Lardis to Standard Player Agreement

(Peterborough, ON) - Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced at a press conference hosted at Hybrid Fitness on Wednesday, that the team has signed 2021 first round, 6th overall OHL Priority Selection pick Nick Lardis to a standard player agreement.

Lardis, a 5'10", 155 lbs right winger, played for the Oakville Rangers during the 2019-20 season. In 37 games he recorded 40 goals, 34 assists, 74 points, and 12 penalty minutes. The 2005-born Oakville, Ontario native is a prospect for the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

"I'm super excited to get things going and get the season underway," expressed Lardis. "I can't wait to play for the Petes organization and get to know the entire Peterborough community."

"We're excited that Nick has committed to the Petes," said Oke. "He's a highly-skilled player, who plays with lots of speed in all three zones. He's going to be a player that our fans are going to enjoy watching."

The Petes will kick off their 65th season on Thursday, October 7 on the road against the North Bay Battalion. The Petes will welcome the Sudbury Wolves and first overall draft pick Quentin Musty for their home opener on Thursday, October 14 at 7:05 pm. Tickets are now on sale for the 2021-22 season.
