This will be the Petes' seventh trip to the OHL Playoffs in the last 10 seasons. The Petes did clinch a spot in the 2019-20 playoffs, but the postseason was canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic.
As a franchise, the Petes have missed the postseason only eight times in their 67 year history. They will be on the hunt for their 10th OHL Championship when the 2023 playoffs begin on March 30.
The Petes currently hold fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 33-25-2-2. A fourth place finish will result in the Petes holding home ice advantage for games one and two of round one.
The Petes are back in action on Thursday night in North Bay when they wrap up the season series against the Battalion. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Fans can catch the game on YourTV Peterborough and Freq 90.5.
