
Petes Finalize Leadership Group for 2023-24 Season

(Peterborough, ON) - ThePeterborough Petes announced today that they have finalized their leadership group for the 2023-24 season. The newly named Assistant Captains will join Donovan McCoy, who was named Captain ahead of the season opener.
Veteran defenceman Sam Mayer and 2004-born forward Jonathan Melee will wear an "A" anytime the team wears white. Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Beck and Anaheim Ducks prospect Konnor Smith will wear an "A" anytime the team wears Maroon. In the event of an injury or suspension, OA forward Jax Dubois and OA defenceman Cam Gauvreau will wear an "A" when needed.
"We're very happy to announce the leadership group that we've selected for the season," noted Petes General Manager and Vice President of Operations Michael Oke. "All of the guys have proven to be leaders on and off the ice from the start of training camp, through the preseason, and into the regular season. We're very confident with this group leading the team moving forward."
The Petes are back in action on Saturday, December 2, when they host the North Bay Battalion. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m at the PMC. Tickets for the game are sold out. The game will also be broadcasted on YourTV Peterborough and Freq 90.5.
