Petes Fall to Wolves in Regular Season Finale

(Peterborough, ON) - In what may have been a first round playoff preview, the Petes fell 3-1 to the Central Division leading Sudbury Wolves in front of 3,474 fans at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Saturday night.

The Wolves took a 2 goal lead before the Petes, who were playing their third game in as many days, got onto the board. Liam Kirk (26) cut Sudbury's lead in half. The visitors secured their win with an empty net goal.

Semyon Der-Arguchintsev and Dustin Hutton assisted on Peterborough's lone goal, marking the 100th and 1st assists of their OHL careers, respectively.

Overage players Adam Timleck, Chris Paquette, and Austin Osmanski, who were honoured in a pre-game ceremony, were named the game's three stars.

Final shots were 34-32 in favour of Peterbrough. The Petes were 0/3 on the power play and 3/3 on the penalty kill.
