
Peoples National Bank To Sponsor Miners Playoff Run

MARION, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Miners have announced that Peoples National Bank has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the Miners 2008 playoffs.
"We are pleased to partner with Peoples National Bank in capitalizing on the energy & excitement of playoff baseball at Rent One Park," said Miners Vice President Erik Haag. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with them throughout the post-season."
Miners fans will have an opportunity to meet one of the Miners mascots at Peoples National Bank in Marion on the day of the team's playoffs games.
Southern Illinois will open its first ever post-season series on Friday, Sept. 5 at Windy City. Southern Illinois will host the ThunderBolts for Games 3 and 4 of the best-of-five series. Those two Miners home playoff games are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 9.
The Miners will finish the regular season tonight at 6:05 p.m. at Gateway. Tickets for the Miners 2008 playoffs, presented by Peoples National Bank, are now on sale at the Rent One Park box office or by calling the Miners ticket office at 618-998-8499.
