Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
Pensacola, Fla. (February 3, 2011) - The Pensacola Ice Flyers will host their 2nd annual "Teddy Bear Toss" on February 4 at The Hangar (the Pensacola Civic Center).
Fans who attend the game Friday night are asked to bring a stuffed animal with them. Once the first goal is scored by the home team, Ice Flyers' fans will toss their stuffed animals out onto the ice. The stuffed animals will then be collected and presented to children at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, as well as other sections of Nemours Children's Clinics, by the Pensacola Ice Flyers' players.
"It is important to our organization to remain active in the community and what better way to give back than by giving to these little boys and girls !" head coach Todd Gordon said. "Our guys are little kids at heart . they love any chance they get to goof around with the little ones."
