WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have partnered with the SPCA of Luzerne County to release the 2013 "Pens & Pets" calendar with all proceeds going back to benefit the SPCA.
The calendar features Penguins players alongside both their own pets and animals from the SCPA. The calendar is on sale for $10 and is available at the Penguins Team Store at the Ice Rink at Coal Street, Penguins home games and the SPCA of Luzerne County (524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA).
The SPCA's mission is the prevention of cruelty to animals by providing: shelter for unwanted, discarded, neglected, and often abused animals; an adoption program to place these animals into caring, permanent homes; humane education programs to enlighten the public about animal problems and humane law enforcement and prosecution programs to address animal cruelty.
