Penner Reassigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (December 3, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Andrew Penner to Syracuse from Dayton (ECHL).

Penner, 21, has appeared in 13 games with Dayton this season, posting a 6-7-0 record, a 3.36 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. Penner served as back-up to Karl Goehring twice during the 2003-04 season, but has yet to appear in an AHL game. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Penner was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 17, 2001.

The Crunch hosts St. JohnÂ’s on Saturday, December 4 for Scooby-Doo Night at the Crunch.
