HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - Peninsula Pilots' outfielder Zac MacAneney (Virginia Tech) tripled to center in the fifth inning of the Pilots 5-4 win over Wilson Thursday night, giving Peninsula its 17th triple as a team on the season, and thus breaking the CPL team single-season mark for triples.
Peninsula's mark of 17 triples is the most in the league's 15-year history, surpassing the old record of 16 that was set by the Pilots in 2006.
