Pawtucket, RI - The Pawtucket Red Sox beat the Richmond Braves 2-1 in 10 innings Friday at McCoy Stadium. The Sox scored a run in the 10th after the Braves scored in the ninth to force extra-innings.
The two clubs battled through six scoreless innings before Pawtucket finally broke through in the seventh on an RBI double by Enrique Wilson. The Braves tied the game in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by David Kelton. Trent Durrington's bases loaded infield single in the 10th produced the winning run for Pawtucket.
Jermaine Van Buren picked up the win. Manny Acosta took the loss. Scott Thorman and Carlos Mendez had two hits each for Richmond. Dustin Pedroia and Jeff Bailey had two hits each for the Pawsox
The Braves continue their four game series with Pawtucket Saturday at 6:05. Richmond returns home June 13 vs. Louisville.
