VISALIA---The Arizona Diamondbacks called Rawhide alum Paul Goldschmidt to their big league club today, culminating a sharp ascent for the powerful right-hander.
Goldschmidt spent the entire 2010 season with Visalia, blasting 35 homers and driving in 109 runs while batting over .300. He was named the California League's Most Valuable Player, becoming the 9th Visalia man to win the award in franchise history.
