
Pats-Wheat Kings Series Dates Announced

Calgary, AB. -- The Western Hockey League has announced the dates and times for the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series between the Brandon Wheat Kings and Regina Pats.
The Wheat Kings, who captured the Scott Munro Memorial Trophy as the WHL's regular season champions, will host the Pats in games one and two on Friday and Saturday, April 10th and 11th.
The best of seven series will then shift to Regina's Brandt Centre for games three and four on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 14th and 15th.
Game five (if necessary) would be played at Westman Communications Group Place on Friday, April 17th, with game six (if necessary) to be played on Sunday, April 19th at 6pm.
Should a seventh and deciding game be necessary, it will be played Tuesday, April 21st in Brandon.

Tickets to the first two games to be played next weekend in Brandon are on sale at the Keystone Centre, although the box office will not be open on Good Friday, April 3rd. It will re-open on Saturday, April 4th at 9am.

The Wheat Kings advanced to the Conference Semi-Finals by knocking off the defending Memorial Cup Champion Edmonton Oil Kings in five games, while the Pats swept the Swift Current Broncos.
Tim McGauley led Brandon in scoring against the Oil Kings with three goals and 7 points in five games while Jayce Hawryluk and John Quenneville had three goals and six points each.
Netminder Jordan Papirny meanwhile compiled a 2.01 goals against and a .942 save percentage during the club's opening round win over Edmonton.
