Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats have been no stranger to injuries this season. When the puck drops for tonight's game against the Prince Albert Raiders, the Pats will cross the 300 mark for man-games lost due to injury and illness, averaging to close to five players per game (20% of roster). The Pats announced today that, due to injury, they will be shutting down four players for the remainder of the season.
Dryden Hunt ('95) - LW - Upper Body Injury
Tye Hand ('95) - D - Upper Body Injury
Luke Fenske ('93) - D - Upper Body Injury
Colby Williams ('95) - D - Upper Body Injury
"These players are an important part of our future and we don't see any benefit for them returning to play this year," says Pats General Manager Chad Lang. "Allowing all of them the necessary time to recuperate both physically and mentally is the right thing to do for the players, their health and the team moving forward."
The Pats are in action tonight against the Prince Albert Raiders with puck drop at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. It's Western Pizza Poster Night with fans having the opportunity to take home a Western Pizza 2012-13 Pats Team Poster. There will also be a limited number of SaskMilk Morgan Klimchuk Growth Charts available for young Pats fans.
One hour before puck drop is Happy Hour at the Brandt Centre when drinks will be just $4 in addition to $4 Footlong Hot Dogs all night. Two-for-One walk-up tickets for tonight's game and Fan Appreciation Night on March 15th are available at the Brandt Centre Box Office.
