
Pats Begin Three Game Homestand against Wheat Kings

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (23-30-3-2) begin their three game homestand on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., against the Brandon Wheat Kings (29-24-3-2) inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats have lost their last three games, as they're coming off a 3-1 loss on Friday to the Saskatoon Blades, which completed their five game road swing where they went 1-3-0-1. The Pats were tied at one after 20 minutes, but game up the go-ahead goal late in the second before an early insurance marker in the third. The final shots were 44-24 for the Blades. Drew Sim was saddled with his fourth straight loss, but he made 41 saves on 44 shots. The Pats went a perfect 4-for-4 on the penalty kill and 1-for-2 on the power play. Logan Nijhoff scored the Pats lone goal, setting a new career high for goals in a season.
On the other side, the Brandon Wheat Kings snapped their six game losing-streak on Friday at home against the Prince Albert Raiders with a 5-3 win. The Wheat Kings have 10 games left on their schedule, with six on the road and four at home. Brandon begins a stretch of four straight road games today before a four game homestand. They will play Prince Albert (3x), Moose Jaw (2x), Regina, Saskatoon (2x) & Medicine Hat to end the season.
