Patriots host Superman Night on June 29

Bridgewater, NJ - The Three-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced that the team will host Superman Night at Commerce Bank Ballpark on Thursday, June 29th for the 7:05 pm game against the Bridgeport Bluefish.

Superman Night coincides with the release of the newest Superman movie "Superman Returns," scheduled to hit theaters on Wednesday, June 28th.

Superman Night will include a special appearance by Superman, who will meet and greet fans, sign autographs, take pictures, and participate in promotions.

Along with Superman Night, the Patriots will be hosting a costume contest for fans that wear Superman costumes and apparel. Fans will be able to win Superman prizes throughout the game including movie and comic related prizes. All fans that dress up in Superman apparel will receive $2.00 off their tickets to the game.

Fans will be able to enjoy Superman music, video clips, trivia contests, and much more at the ballpark.

"We've had a lot of fun at the ballpark with different movie promotions that we have done in the past. We are very excited about the new release of Superman Returns and want to provide our fans with an opportunity to enjoy a Superman themed night at the ballpark," said Patrick McVerry, President/ General Manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.

In addition to Superman Night, the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Patriots Baseball courtesy of Wyeth.

The 2006 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue on the road until Tuesday, June 27th when the Patriots return to Commerce Bank Ballpark for a 7:05 pm game against the Bridgeport Bluefish. The game includes Health Fair Night presented by Somerset Medical Center. The first 2,000 fans will also be able to play Modell's Baseball Bingo.
