Patriots Earn 5-2 Win Over Senators

The Somerset Patriots took a 5-0 lead in the second inning on their way to a 5-2 win over the Harrisburg Senators Tuesday night at FNB Field. Harrisburg loaded the bases in the second but could only tally once. Both offenses went silent after the third inning.

Turning Point Leading 2-0 nothing with two outs and the bases loaded in the second inning, Jasson Dominguez doubled into shallow left field scoring all three runners and breaking the game open, giving Somerset a 5-0 lead.

On Capitol Hill Jackson Rutledge went six innings for the second time this season. While he allowed the five runs, he also settled down and faced the minimum over his final four innings. Reid Schaller tossed two perfect innings. Orlando Ribalta pitched a scoreless ninth.

With the Gavel José Sánchez had an RBI single in the second and the Sens managed just three other hits. Drew Millas drew four walks in the game.

Filibusters The Senators saw two streaks snapped. Their streak of 13 straight games with an extra base hit was snapped... Yasel Antuna's 12-game on base streak was also snapped as he went 0-for-5... Game Time: 2:23... Attendance: 1,882.
