Pat Healey Named to MASL Team of the Week
December 3, 2014 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Baltimore Blast News Release
The Major Arena Soccer League announced on Wednesday that Baltimore Blast defender Pat Healey has been named to the MASL Team of the Week for the second time this season.
The Blast visited the Syracuse Silver Knights last weekend and held them to just two goals. After setting an indoor soccer record for goals against average last year, the Blast have been even stingier this year allowing just five goals in four games. Healey, who contributed a block and added 2 assists in the win over Syracuse, and recently made appearances with the US National Arena Team, has been a key defensive contributor early in the year and ranks 3rd in the league with 10 blocks.
Team of the Week
GK - Jesus Flores, Chicago Mustangs
D - Pat Healey, Baltimore Blast
D - Guilherme Veiga, Chicago Mustangs
F - Lourenco Andrade, Monterry Flash
F - Matt Clare, Wichita B-52's
F - Joey Tavernese, Rochester Lancers
Healey and the Blast look to continue their strong defensive play next weekend when the Blast host rival Milwaukee Wave Friday December 12th and Saturday December 13th. Both games will be played at the Royal Farms Arena at 7:35p.m.
