New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats, the AA-Eastern League affiliate of the American League's Minnesota Twins, announced today that Minnesota has signed Free Agent OF Jordan Parraz to a Minor League contract; the 28-year-old has been assigned to the Rock Cats and will be in uniform with New Britain on Tuesday night.

Jordan Parraz was drafted out of the College of Southern Nevada by the Houston Astros in the 3rd Round of the 2004 MLB Draft. The Rock Cats continue their current 7-game homestand tonight when they open a 4-game series against the Binghamton Mets at 6:35 PM. They will then head up to New Hampshire for a four game series (5/24-5/27), before returning to New Britain Stadium for a six-game stretch against Richmond (5/28-5-30) and Bowie (5/31-6/2). Good seats remain available for all games on this current homestand.
