
Parillo Comes to Colorado, Eagles to Play Inter-Squad Game

WINDSOR, CO- The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League announced today the signing of forward Nick Parillo. The 5'9" 180-pound Niskayuna, New York native has been with the Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League for most of the last three seasons will add speed and grittiness to an already skilled offensive unit.
Parillo, 28, played 69 games for the Storm in his third pro season and scored 16 goals, including a team leading five shorthanded markers that was good enough for second in the ECHL. He also tied for the most assists in a Toledo uniform with 32 and added 77 penalty minutes. In his tenure at Toledo, Parillo played in 192 games, scored 58 goals and recorded 158 points, while becoming a fan favorite on and off the ice.
Head Coach and Vice President Chris Stewart talked about the acquisition of Parillo, "he and I had been talking for three years and finally we had an opportunity to work things out. He's an explosive player that will get involved and most certainly be someone the fans will embrace."
Prior to coming to Colorado, he played his three seasons with the Storm, but was called up to the American Hockey League on a number of occasions playing for Rochester, Grand Rapids, Cincinnati and San Antonio scoring a pair of goals. He played his collegiate hockey at Merrimack University and was voted best offensive player two seasons in a row. The Eagles now have 24 players that have agreed to come to training camp.
INTRA-SQUAD GAME for Youth Hockey
The Colorado Eagles also announced today that the team will be playing a "BLACK and WHITE" Intra-Squad game Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the new Ice Haus in Greeley. Game time is at 7:05 pm and the doors will open at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and are only available at the Greeley Ice Haus, and will be based on a first come first serve basis. The proceeds from the game will benefit different youth hockey programs in Northern Colorado. This will be the first chance for fans to see the new Eagles players and also is a great chance to check out the new, state-of-the-art facility that is the Greeley Ice Haus.
