
Pano Fimis Named Nominee of OHL's Red Tilson Trophy

Erie, Pennsylvania - With the 2023-24 Ontario Hockey League season concluded, and the post-season well underway, the time of recognitions for accomplishment and feats during the 68-game season begins.
This afternoon, the OHL announced all 20 member teams' nominees for the prestigious Red Tilson Trophy, awarded to the Leagues' most outstanding player. For the Erie Otters, the nomination for the most premier individual award in the league was bestowed upon Pano Fimis, who finished the season as the team-leader in total points. In his second season with the Otters, the Richmond Hill, ON native put up career-high numbers in goals (25), assists (51), total points (76) while playing in all 68 games for the team as its alternate captain. Fimis was also identified as one of the top faceoff centermen in the OHL, winning 61 percent of draws under center.
Earlier this season, Fimis was recognized by the OHL as the Player of the Week and by the Canadian Hockey League's Team of the Week for his final week of November.
The Red Tilson Trophy has been awarded five times to members of the Erie Otters: Brad Boyes (2000-01, 2001-02), Connor Brown (2013-14), Connor McDavid (2014-15), and Alex DeBrincat (2016-17).
