Owlz Struggle at the Plate in Loss to Chukars

IDAHO FALLS- Some nights every swing feels great, some nights it seems like the ball is unhittable, Monday, night was that night for the Owlz. The Orem Owlz had four nights on the night as they fell to the Idaho Falls 4-2 in the series finale in Idaho Falls.
The night started out with the Owlz scoring the first run of the night. In the third inning of play Juan Moreno had one of his two hits on the night in the inning, which led to a sac fly from Michael Pierson, to get the Owlz on the board first. Despite having the early one lead, it didn't last long as the Chukars found a way to score a run in the bottom of the third inning, but it could have been a lot worse if the Owlz didn't snag a double play to keep it tied after three innings.
In the fourth inning the Chukars found a way to take the first lead of the night as Pedro Gonzales singled to center field which led to Roman Collins scoring the tie breaking run. As the game went on things got wild in the sixth inning of play for the Owlz. They scored their second and final run of the night off a wild pitch that sent Hutton Moyer home, but during the wild pitch Jared Foster check swung the bat and was called for a strike, which did not go well with Dave Stapleton (Owlz Manager) who was tossed after the call.
After Stapleton was tossed, the Chukars were able to score one run in the seventh and their final run of the night in the eighth inning to avoid the sweep from the Owlz. Despite the loss the Owlz did win the three game series overall after taking the first two of three on the road in Idaho Falls.
Next up for the Owlz they head home for a four game series vs Billings Mustangs starting tomorrow night in Orem, at "The Home Of The Owlz."
