Owens returned to Checkers

HARTFORD, January 22, 2008: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have returned forward Jordan Owens on loan to their ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Owens, who has registered a goal and three assists, along with 16 penalty minutes and a +3, in 14 games with the Wolf Pack, will skate for the American Conference team in the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition tonight and tomorrow night in Stockton, CA. In 20 ECHL games with the Checkers, the rookie out of the Ontario hockey league has posted totals of 3-10-13, with 28 PIM.

The Wolf Pack head into the AHL's All-Star break with a three-game week this week. They make their only visit of the season to Albany tomorrow night (7:00), and then return to the XL Center for home games this Friday, January 25th vs. Worcester (7:00) and Saturday, January 26th against Providence (7:00). Friday is Guida's Family Value Night, and Saturday is Al Montoya Bobblehead Night.
