Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - Owain Fôn Williams has left his position as goalkeeping coach of Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC and has been named the new goalkeeper coach with Fleetwood Town in the English Football League (EFL) League One.
Fôn Williams was a member of the 2016 UEFA Euros team representing Wales that made it to the semi-finals of the tournament. As a player he spent much of his career around Britain, playing for clubs in the EFL Championship, EFL League One, EFL League Two, Scottish Premiership, and Scottish Championship. Coaching Northern Colorado was the first coaching position that Fôn Williams has had in his career.
"It's been an absolute honor, I can't thank Éamon enough and Kev for this opportunity," said Fôn Williams. "I'm sad to be leaving, my family is sad to be leaving. This has been our home for a short period of time and I was getting my teeth into it here. I can't thank every single person that works for this organization and the boys enough."
Future Legends Complex and Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC wish Fôn Williams the best of luck to him in his coaching endeavors.
The 118-acre Future Legends Complex will feature two stadiums, multiple baseball diamonds and multi-purpose fields, an indoor sports arena, lodging, and retail; and will host guests for major sports tournaments, events, leagues, and more.
