York Revolution News Release

It was just another day at the office on Thursday morning for York Revolution staff members at their downtown George Street Store location. That was, until they checked the security cameras around lunchtime. At approximately 2:48 a.m. Thursday morning, long after the store had closed, a security camera took an image of a "customer" purchasing a team sweatshirt. The Revolution staff isn't too concerned about the incident since money was left on the counter, but they are confused and curious.

"Somebody that has a key to our office came in shopping last night," said Sandy Kemmel of the Revolution. "At first I was worried that something had happened, but after seeing the money and the security footage, I'm kind of intrigued more than anything."

In the past few days, there have been various sightings in the downtown area of a strange "visitor," and some of these sightings have been captured on film. There has been widespread speculation that these sightings are related to an event which will be held by the Revolution this Saturday at 3pm at the DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre. The event will introduce the mascot to the public for the first time. Initially, York Revolution staff members have not been commenting on these pictures, but that changed after the recent incident.

"This thing obviously wants very badly to be a part of the Revolution," said Revolution General Manager Matt O'Brien. "After the first two pictures surfaced, we couldn't safely say that, but after seeing the security footage it's obvious that our 'friend' wants to be part of something special."

To find out the answer to this ongoing mystery, reserve you $1 ticket for "Mascot: The Musical" by calling 717-801-4494, or by visiting www.yorkrevolution.com. This event will be the first ever public appearance for the York Revolution new mascot. It will take place at the DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre on the corner of Philadelphia and Carlisle, beginning at 3 p.m.
