Chico Outlaws News Release
CHICO, CA - This summer has been a particularly busy one for public safety employees throughout Butte County and surrounding northern California communities - and the Chico Outlaws professional baseball club are setting aside a day to acknowledge their tireless efforts. The Outlaws Saturday, August 30 game with the St. George Roadrunners will also be Public Safety Night at Nettleton Stadium, with several special events planned throughout the evening.
All public safety personnel - firefighters, law enforcement, military, hospital, ambulance and paramedics - in uniform or displaying a badge or ID will be admitted free to the August 30 game. In addition to a big pre-game ceremony, fan booth displays spotlighting several public safety agencies will be on the Nettleton Stadium concourse, with special on-field presentations planned between innings. Adding to the excitement will be a "Pass the Boot" event and a silent auction featuring memorabilia from a wide array of California pro sports teams and goods and services from many local businesses; all proceeds will go to benefit the Three Rivers chapter of the American Red Cross.
The Outlaws are encouraging fans and community members to join them in honoring those who make our lives better. Tickets for the August 30 Public Safety Night are available at the Outlaws ticket office at 308 Salem Street in downtown Chico...seats can also be purchased by phone at 345-3210 or on-line at www.ChicoOutlawsBaseball.com. Gates open at 6:05pm, with game time at 7:05.
