Reno Silver Sox News Release
Despite two run scoring doubles early in the game, the Reno Silver Sox lost the rubber match of a three game series in Chico on Friday 8-2.
C Jose Rodriguez, who came into the game leading the league in batting average and home runs, knocked in his 20th run of the year in the first inning making it 1-0 Reno. DH Juan Senreiso doubled in a run in the third inning making it 2-0 Sox. Unfortunately for Reno, those would be the only two runs they would score on the evening.
In his sixth start of the year, Silver Sox starting pitcher James Johnson pitched six innings allowing four runs, three of which came when RF Daniel Nava hit a three run homer in the third inning.
Wearing their black and teal ?aloha Friday? uniforms, The Outlaws went on to score four more times in the seventh inning before picking up their 20th win of the year.
The St. George Roadrunners will be in Reno for a three game series starting Saturday night.
