
Out of Eden to perform after Comets game

Kansas City, MO â The Kansas City Comets announced on Wednesday that the platinum-selling soulful trio Out of Eden has agreed to perform immediately following the February 20 home game against the St. Louis Steamers. Kickoff is at 7:35 p.m.
Out of Eden's fifth album, "Love, Peace and Happiness," will debut in February before the group begins a 12-state tour, which includes a stop in Kansas City at Kemper Arena. The group is known for its original mix of pop, R&B, hip-hop and soul, and its previous four albums have combined to sell one million copies.
Out of Eden's fourth album, "This Is Your Life," won the 2003 Dove Award for Urban Album of the Year. Its song "Meditate" from that album won the 2003 Dove Award for Urban Recorded Song of the Year.
The group is composed of three sisters: Lisa Kimmey, Andrea Kimmey-Baca and Danielle Kimmey. Past albums include "Lovin' the Day" (1994), "More Than You Know" (1996), "No Turning Back" (1999) and "This Is Your Life" (2002).
The trio has shared the stage with many well-known music acts, including Destiny's Child, the Pointer Sisters, Monica, CeCe Winans and Kirk Franklin. They have also been honored with song placements in Eddie Murphy's "Dr. Doolittle," on Christina Aguilera's "Diary" and on "The Chris Rock Show."
