Kansas City Comets News Release

Kansas City, MO – In anticipation for the USHRA Monster Jam event at Kemper Arena from Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1, two Comets players will appear on Friday, January 30 at 7:30 a.m. on the dirt floor at Kemper Arena with the world famous Monster Trucks to participate in a contest to reward loyal Comets fans.

The MISL MVP and Spalding Scoring Champion Dino Delevski will appear with two lucky Comets fans as they compete in an accuracy contest to see who is more skilled at kicking soccer balls into the back of a moving Monster Jam Truck.

Delevski, who currently leads the League with 25 goals, and the fans will have a formidable opponent in the Monster Truck, powered by a 575 cubic-foot engine. The fan closest to kicking the ball in the truck will win a family four pack of tickets to Monster Jam and a Comets prize pack.

At 8:15 a.m., Comets starting goalkeeper Chris Damico, WDAFTV Fox4's Don Harman, Global Spectrum's Larry Hovick, general manager of Kemper Arena, and a professional ATV racer will hold nothing back as they race around the dirt floor. The first one to travel around the dirt track that covers the Comets' home turf will win bragging rights to the title, "Kemper Arena Quad War Champ."

Fox 4's Don Harman will be on hand to broadcast live and give his weather report during the Fox 4 Morning News Show at 7:30 a.m.
