May 5, 2009 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Spokane Indians News Release

SPOKANE, WA - OTTO, the Spokane Indians mascot, will appear this Sunday May 10 at the Bicycle Education Fair presented by Bike to Work Spokane in River Park Square from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Bicycle Education Fair runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and is open to the public.

OTTO rides his bike every chance he gets and his appearance at the Bicycle Education Fair helps kick-off Bike to Work Week, which will be held May 10th to 16th.

Bike to Work Spokane is a project of the SpokeFest Association, a Spokane 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bike education and fun events that put education to work on the road. Bike to Work Spokane partners with the City of Spokane Bicycle Advisory Board, the Bicycle Alliance of Washington, and dozens of other organizations.

To register and for more information on Bike to Work Week, visit www.biketoworkspokane.org. Registration is free.

OTTO and many other Spokane residents have found that riding to work is healthy, good for the environment and saves money!

Don't forget, you can always ride your bike to Avista Stadium to catch Spokane Indians action this summer. Bike parking is available at the Avista Stadium bike racks provided by Wheel Sport.

You can see OTTO riding his bike and cheering on his Spokane Indians at Avista Stadium all summer long. The Indians season opens on June 20th. For tickets and information, call 509-343-OTTO (6886) or visit www.spokaneindiansbaseball.com.
