Rockford Aviators News Release
LOVES PARK - The Aviators fell to the Evansville Otters 8-1 Tuesday night, the team's 4th consecutive loss. Dusty Robinson had 3 doubles in the game for Rockford.
The Otters led off the game against Kyle Brueggemann with a homerun by John Schultz. They would add another in the first inning before posting another 2-spot in the 2nd and going off for 3 in the 4th. Brueggemann would last just through that fourth inning, giving up 7 runs but also striking out 7 in the contest.
Robinson briefly made it a 1-run game with the first of 3 doubles to left in the bottom of the first. That extra base hit brought in Michael Hur as the only run of the game for the Aviators.
Brian Bistagne had two hits - a single and a double - of his own in the contest. It was Bistagne's 3rd multi-hit effort in the last 5 contests.
The Aviators and Otters meet again tomorrow at 6:35. Tony Rizzotti is expected to go for the Aviators.
