
Otters nipped by Knights in shootout

LONDON, Ont. - David Bolland scored the only goal of the shootout to lift the London Knights to a 5-4 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 9,090 at the John Labatt Centre. Rob Schremp led the Knights with two goals and an assist in the game while Josh Beaulieu also scored twice. Ryan O'Marra, Derrick Bagshaw, Josh Vatri and Adam Berti scored for the Otters. The Knights captured their third straight game to move to 34-12-0-2 on the season. The Otters moved to 17-27-3-3 and collected a valuable point in the shootout loss, their second straight shootout loss against London. London led 3-0 after one and 4-2 heading into the third. Vatri and Berti scored in the opening eight minutes of the third to force overtime. The Knights out shot the Otters 55-33 in the game as Josh Disher turned in his second straight outstanding performance between the pipes. The three stars of the game were 1. Schremp; 2. Otters defenseman Andrew Hotham and 3. Beaulieu.
The Otters complete weekend action tomorrow (Saturday) night when the Kitchener Rangers visit the Tullio Arena for a 7:30 p.m. start. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office. The game can also be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company.
