
Rangers Double Up Attack

Kitchener, ON: The Rangers doubled up the visiting Owen Sound Attack tonight 4-2 before a crowd of 6,086 at The Aud.
The Attack opened up an early 1-0 lead with a power play goal by Bobby Ryan at 7:32. Owen Sound took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Matthew Kang.
The Rangers stormed back with two goals in the second to tie the game at two. Justin Azevedo potted his 25th goal at 4:23 on a Rangers' power play. Then, on another power play, Craig Voakes notched his 20th of the season at 16:37.
In the third, Kitchener capitalized on another power play, as David Lomas tallied his 20th to give the Rangers the lead. Azevedo secured the win with an empty net goal with :36 remaining. Dan Turple stopped 31 of 33 shots for his 27th win.
The Rangers next home game is Tuesday, February 7th against the Oshawa Generals. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
Game Notes: Turple was the game's first star in picking up his 27th win of the season...Azevedo earned the third star with two goals...6,086 fans attended the game...Dan Turple lowered his GAA to a league best 2.38...tonight was the first time in 16 games that the Rangers did not out-shoot their opponent.
