Evansville Otters News Release
Evansville, INâ The Evansville Otters game against the Kalamazoo Kings on June 16th was postponed due to rain at the start of the 3rd inning. The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader that will take place on June 17th. The first game will begin in the third inning and will begin at 6:05.
Kalamazoo had taken a 5-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a grandslam by Kings centerfielder Fehlandt Lentini. The game was suspended before Evansville could take to the field in the top half of the third inning.
The Otters still plan on holding their Bosse Field replica stadium night as planned for the game on the 17th. Tickets from the postponed game will be honored at the door and the first 900 fans will receive a coupon to redeem their stadiums during the bottom of the first inning of game two.
The starting pitchers in tonight's ballgame will likely compete in the first game of the doubleheader. Game two will be started by Grant Williams for the Otters and Pat O'Neil will make his season debut for the Kings.
