Erie Otters News Release
ERIE, PA - The Erie Otters returned home on Saturday to play the final of their 3-in-3 weekend against the Peterborough Petes. On an early powerplay, the Petes scored the first and only goal of the period just three minutes in.
In the second period, the two teams traded opportunities, as well as powerplay chances. Neither side was able to score until Peterborough managed to find the back of the net twice in the final three minutes with goals from Nick Robertson and Liam Kirk, despite being noticeably outshot by Erie.
In the third, Liam Kirk found the back of the net for his second on the night, and extended the Peterborough lead to four. This would prove to be the final goal of the evening, and Erie dropped this one 4-0.
The Otters will be back in action on Wednesday night where they will take on the Owen Sound Attack at 7PM on home ice.
