Otters come up short

Aug. 29, 2008, Evansville, Ind. - The Otters were put in an early hole they were never able to recover from falling to the visiting Windy City Thunderbolts 12-7 on Friday night at Bosse Field.

The Bolts plated six in the third inning setting the tone for a big hitting night. The Otters kept pace as they scored two runs in each of the third fourth and fifth innings, but Windy City continued to tack on runs, pounding out 15 hits against Otters pitching, hitting four home runs, with two coming off the bat of Josh Horn.

Former Purple Ace Kai Tuomi took most of the damage giving up nine runs on ten hits. Evansville put up 12 hits of their own led by Isaac Omura who went 3-5 with a home run and three RBI. The Otters head back to the field in the second game of the series Saturday night with first pitch slated for 7:05 CDT.
