Otters to a 8-2 win over the Oshawa Generals in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,879 at the Tullio Arena.

Shawn Szydlowski added three goals and an assist in the Otters win while Zack Torquato, Justin Hodgman and Luke Gazdic rounded out the scoring.

Erie ended a three-game home losing streak with their second straight win to improve to 25-23-2-0 on the season.

The victory represented the most goals scored by the Otters in a single game this season and their largest margin of victory this season.

Brett Parnham and Kory Nagy scored for the Generals, losers of five straight to drop to 21-23-1-4 on the season.

Erie led 2-0 after one and 6-2 after two.

Erie out shot the Generals 41-39 in the game as Jaroslav Janus posted the victory.

The three stars of the game were all from the Otters. Yogan was the first, Szydlowski the second and Torquato the third.
