Mississauga, ON - Former Erie Otters draft pick Brandon Maxwell made 37 saves as the Otters were shutout by the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors, 2-0, Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless first period, the Majors scored three times in the second. Andrew Goldberg tallied his first two OHL goals and Scott Teskey scored the third of Mississauga's goals in the period.
The Majors added three more goals in the third period courtesy of Trevor Carrick, Sergey Kuptsov and Spenser Cobbold.
The Otters return to Erie for a Wendy's Buck Night with dollar Smith's Hot Dogs, popcorn, beer and pop Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. against the Guelph Storm. The first 2,000 fans receive a $50 gift card from Aaron's. For tickets, call (814) 455-7779 or go to ottershockey.com.
