
Otters Begin Four-Game Homestand

The ERIE OTTERS of the Ontario Hockey League kick off a four-game home stand at the Tullio Arena Friday night when the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds visit for a 7:30 p.m. start.
The OTTERS (19-17-5-1) and Greyhounds (21-22-1-1) are currently tied for seventh in the Western Conference with 44 points, with the OTTERS holding three games in hand.
ERIE is coming off a three-game road trip during which they posted a 2-1 record. Mike Blunden paced the OTTERS during the trip with five goals and one assist. The second-year forward has scored seven times in his last four games to lift his season totals to 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points in 40 games. Newcomer Geoff Platt added three goals and three assists in his first three games since coming over from the Saginaw Spirit while Rob Hisey, who along with captain Chris Campoli was selected as a Western Conference All-Star on Wednesday, counted a goal and four assists in the three weekend games.
The OTTERS' next victory will be the 250th in franchise history.
The Greyhounds are coming off a huge 8-6 win over the League-leading London Knights on home ice Sunday and meet the Knights again Thursday night in London. Soo is lead by former Otter Scott Dobben and Jeff Carter, both of whom have 46 points on the season.
Dobben has a team-leading 23 goals in 40 games.
The OTTERS topped the Greyhounds 6-4 the first weekend of the season in Sault Ste. Marie.
Fans who bring a new or reusable coat to the game for the "JET Radio 1400 Coats for Kids Campaign" will receive a free pair of tickets to a future OTTERS' game (limit one pair of ticket per person).

Saturday night the OTTERS welcome the Saginaw Spirit to the Tullio Arena for a 7:30 p.m. start presented by Arby's Restaurants.
The Spirit head into the game with an 11-27-2-3 record and sit in last place in the Western Conference, 17 points out of a play-off spot.
The game will feature the return of Sean Courtney to the Tullio Arena for the first time since being traded to Saginaw just prior to the OHL Trade Deadline. The third-year forward has a goal and an assist in his first three games with the Spirit and is listed second in team scoring with 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points in 41 games overall.
Overage forward Nick Lees is Saginaw's leading scorer with 20 goals and 36 points in 40 games this season.
The OTTERS are 0-1-1 against the Spirit this season. The two teams skated to a 3-3 overtime tie in their last meeting in Saginaw on November 23rd.
