(OTTAWA) May 15, 2008 -The Ottawa Rapidz take to the field for their first official Can-Am Exhibition Game this Sunday, May 18th at 1:05pm, as they host their national rivals, the Quebec Capitales.
Admission to this highly-anticipated game is $4 and baseball fans of all ages are encouraged to come out and cheer their new professional baseball team. This is the last chance for fans to see the Rapidz pre-season line-up before the regular season roster is finalized.
"We are approaching the end of camp and this game provides us the chance for our guys to show their stuff, against a fine team," said Rapidz Manager Ed Nottle "I have a lot of respect for Capitales Manager Michel Laplante and look forward to playing against him."
The Ottawa Rapidz is proud to bring professional baseball to fans in the Ottawa-Gatineau region in a fun, affordable, family-friendly environment. The Rapidz regular season opens Thursday, May 22nd with a four-game homestand against the New Jersey Jackals.
