
Osprey Fall to Voyagers, 5-2

GREAT FALLS, MONT - Blair Walters and two relievers held the Missoula Osprey to just five hits, as the Great Falls Voyagers used one big inning to beat the Osprey on Monday, 5-2, here at Centene Stadium in front of 1,930 fans.
Eric Groff was held hitless on the night, ending his club-record 24-game hitting streak. Groff has not had a hit in just five of the 41 games he has played in this season. Fidel Pena also had his 13-game hit streak snapped in the setback.
Roidany Aguila had two hits and a RBI to lead the Osprey at the plate. Missoula (5-4, 30-17) did not score in the game until the ninth inning, as Jon Griffin and Ryan Court hit back-to-back doubles with one out, and Aguila plated Court with a two-out single. Tom Belza had the other Osprey base hit.
Great Falls (7-2, 24-23) scored four times in the bottom of the third inning off of Missoula starter Enrique Burgos (4-4) to take the lead for good. The Voyagers would add a run in the eighth for a 5-0 edge, and help Walters become the first pitcher in the Pioneer League to reach the 7-win mark.
The Osprey conclude their two-game series against the Great Falls Voyagers at Centene Stadium On Tuesday. Right-hander Jesse Darrah will get the start for the Osprey, while the Voyagers will counter with right-hander Pete Gehle.
