BILLINGS, MONT. - After four games between the Missoula Osprey and the Billings Mustangs here at Dehler Park over the weekend, not much has changed in the Pioneer League North Division standings.

The Osprey mounted another late charge, but the Mustangs had enough to hold on in the end and take a 6-4 win in on Sunday in front of 2,704 fans, as the teams split the four-game series. The end result is that the Osprey (19-15, 37-35) are a game back of the Mustangs (20-14, 41-31) in the North standings with four games remaining, including two in a head-to-head showdown in Missoula on Wednesday and Thursday.

Billings scored first, taking advantage of two errors to score four times, three of which were two outs, to take a 4-0 lead. The Mustangs would add another run in the bottom of the second off of Osprey starter Chris Pack (6-2) to push their lead to 5-0. It was enough for Billings starter Joel Bender (3-4), who pitched six shutout innings in picking up the win on the mound.

The Osprey would get on the board in the top of the seventh inning. Socrates Brito singled and scored on a Tyler Bream single to cut the deficit to 5-1. However, the Mustangs responded with a run in the home half of the inning to push the edge back to 6-1.

Missoula mounted a charge late in the ballgame, thanks to a two-run home run by Jake Lamb in the top of the eighth and a solo shot in the top of the ninth by Alex Glenn, his third home run in two games. However, Mo Wiley would finish off the win and pick up his ninth save of the season for Billings.

The Osprey would finish the game with eight hits, with Evan Marzilli, Michel Perez, Breland Almadova and Andrew Velazquez adding a base hit each for Missoula.

The Osprey now head to Great Falls to take on the Voyagers in a two-game series beginning on Monday night at Centene Stadium. The Osprey will send right-hander Karl Triana to the mound, while the Voyagers will counter with right-hander Brandon Brennan.

The Osprey will come home for their final two games of the 2012 regular season against the Billings Mustangs on September 5-6. Tickets are available now at the MSO Hub Box Office, located at 140 North Higgins in Downtown Missoula, online at MissoulaOsprey.com and by phone (406) 543-3300.
