Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO - April 21, 2015 - Orlando City Soccer Club today announced yet another significant milestone in its budding Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign - the Club has reached their 14,000 Season Ticket goal. As a result, the team has established a waiting list for prospective Season Ticket Members for the 2016 season.Â
Orlando City ranks among the top teams in MLS in terms of season tickets sold and becomes only the fourth team with a season ticket waiting list. The team capped season tickets at 14,000 to ease transition for fans from the Orlando Citrus Bowl to City's new downtown stadium in 2016.
"Today is an exciting day for our Club as we successfully completed our campaign to sell out our first year of season tickets," said Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins. "Our fans have responded overwhelmingly in support of our Club and we are incredibly grateful for their support each and every week with the sea of purple in the stands and throughout the City Beautiful."
The Lions' next home game will be against Toronto FC April 26 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. It will air live on FOX Sports 1.
