
Orlando City B Statement on Temporary Suspension of 2020 League One Season

Orlando City B News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Earlier, USL One announced the decision to delay the 2020 season for a minimum of two weeks, which will include Orlando City B's matches first two road matches at New England and North Texas and April 11th home opener against Chattanooga.
In conjunction with the league's decision, and as mentioned in the prior statement surrounding Major League Soccer's 30-day suspension, the safety of fans, players and staff is of the utmost importance to Orlando City SC and remains the top priority at this time and the Club fully supports the decision made by the USL.
Earlier today Orlando City SC CEO Alex Leitão released the following statement in response to upcoming league suspensions:
"Our top priority as a Club is the health and safety of everyone from our players, employees and fans. We are clearly dealing with an unprecedented health crisis and remain committed to keeping everyone within our Club and community safe," Orlando City SC CEO Alex Leitão said. "We will continue to work with local, state and national health officials along with the CDC in monitoring the situation."
As previously noted, access to Exploria Stadium and the Orlando City SC Training Ground will be limited to essential employees only for the next 30 days. During this public health crisis, the Club remains in contact with all necessary officials for guidance and updates.
USL is currently planning to reschedule all matches impacted by this suspension, and previously purchased tickets will remain valid for those games. Additional ticketing questions can be directed to tickets@orlandocitysc.com.
During this time, the Club remains committed to assisting the local community and its members that are currently suffering from the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak as well as educating the community on proper safety protocols.
