TORONTO - Orlando City B (6-4-2, 21 points) suffered a 3-0 defeat to Toronto FC II (3-7-1, 10 points) on Sunday night at York Lions Stadium. The loss snapped a three-game unbeaten streak for the Lions.

The match was abandoned in the 72nd minute due to the local curfew. The 3-0 scoreline and all stats are final.

The Lions will look to bounce back as they return home to Osceola Heritage Park and welcome FC Cincinnati 2 on Sunday, June 11. The Lions are unbeaten at home so far this season and currently hold a 4-0-2 record. They are one of only two teams in the Eastern Conference that are unbeaten on home soil during the 2023 campaign.

The home side opened the scoring after an attempted clearance from the City backline fell right to the feet of Reshaun Walkes, who was able to slide the ball into the back of the net.

Toronto FC found a quick second goal after a broken play allowed Markus Cimermancic to get a shot off, which took a deflection on the way towards the net, leaving Mason Stajduhar with no chance to save it.

72' Jesus Batiz (Markus Cimermancic) - TOR 3, ORL 0

The Reds scored their third goal with Markus Cimermancic slipping a ball behind the City defense and finding an oncoming Jesus Batiz, who made no mistake with the one-on-one finish against the goalkeeper.

Defender Nabi Kibunguncy and forward Jhon Solís are now the only two players to start every game so far this season for the Lions.

The match saw goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar make his Orlando City B season debut in between the sticks.
