POSTGAME QUOTES: New England Revolution II 1 vs. New York Red Bulls II 4
Revolution II Head Coach Clint Peay
On his assessment of the match:
Peay: "Obviously, a difficult match for the guys. I thought that we were very indecisive in how we wanted to play. And I thought that from just a standpoint of hustle and determination, Red Bull had more desire in that regard today than we did, but I think some bad decisions in our build up and the intent to capitalize off what Red Bull was giving us wasn't there from our collective tonight."
On Jacob Jackson making a career-high 12 saves:
Peay: "Yeah, look, he [Jacob Jackson] is good. He's a good shot stopper. There are areas of his game that can still improve, and I think that's with the ball at his feet and decision making, but in terms of being able to make stops, he does an excellent job."
On Jack Panayotou's first goal of the season:
Peay: "Opportunistic goal, obviously it was a good time. We had just conceded so it helped to get back to even and he [Jack Panayotou] worked hard. I thought that he could have contributed a little bit more offensively for us, but he put in a good effort."
On the focus heading into the week to prep for Chicago Fire II:
Peay: "I think the focus will be trying to improve upon the areas where we struggled this week. And that's decision making and build up and having a better collective understanding of how we want to execute the game plan."
